I’ve logged many books looking for the one that would decode the industry for me, Art/Work: Everything You Need to Know (and Do) As You PursueYour Art Career is it. It is also very current. The people quoted are working in the industry now. Some of the programs mentioned have dissolved into oblivion, their URL’s giving up a 404 or an unrelated business.
For the most part though, useful. I was sent off from my BFA studies told I’d do best showing my work in galleries. How do I do that? Look them up on the internet. This book tells you exactly where the resources are. And exactly how to put together your materials for submission, when to submit. Even how to pack your work for shipping. This book would be worth having a paper copy on your bookshelf to reference▪️
